This report was compiled following last December's Social Care Future Living in a Place We Call Home event and we are pleased to note that a number of the key things that people are looking for - such as diversity in housing options, the ability to choose who you live with and being in full control of your environment - are ALL met through HOLD (Home Ownership for people with Long-term Disabilities). You can read the report in full here.
This month we were delighted to have been invited to participate in a podcast hosted by Lisa Brown from Supported Living Property.
We don’t believe that the recently proposed benefit changes will have a significant impact on any of our home owners, as they all have lifelong disabilities and have already been assessed as being unable to viably work in paid employment.
We were delighted to have recently been invited to co-host a webinar with The NSG about home ownership for people with disabilities and we were privileged to have been joined by the parents of two of our happy home owners too.
