This campaign aims to keep the scandal of people with Learning Disabilities and Autism still being locked up in secure mental health units firmly on the political agenda and, with more than 2,000 individuals currently housed in such facilities, it's clearly much needed. We don’t believe that the recently proposed benefit changes will have a significant impact on any of our home owners, as they all have lifelong disabilities and have already been assessed as being unable to viably work in paid employment.
